Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't updated (coherantly) in a while.
I've been rather ill for the last 2 weeks, as well as more than a little sleep deprived. Muffins ate my soul, which is never all that pleasant, and generally, I've just felt lousy. I'm still on antibiotics for strep, and a 6 hour visit to the ER the other night confirmed that the other Lacey has contracted it, plus Meaghan and Heather are coming down with something...When I said I couldn't afford to be sick, I meant it. I was working at a steady, though a bit intensive, pace, but I was doing ok, for the most part.
The last 2 days have been me in crash mode. Yesterday I slept from 4am(Wednesday) (when we got home from the hospital) to 5pm, when I had to get up for rehersal. Then I slept from 3:30am to 7:30am, and again from about 10am to 3pm. So, not only are my sleep patterns totally screwed, but I also have a massive headache. But I am enjoying a nice apple cider from Tim Hortons, thanks to Mal, Carl, Devin and Adam, who convinced me to go out and see Stranger than Fiction. I was supposed to go with the Nano crew tonight, but to be honest: I didn't want to go, because i dind't think I'd like it. I really don't like Will Farrell. But now that I've seen it, I kinda liked it. I'd almost pay to see it again, I think. I must, MUST see Happy Feet though, and another movie coming out...The Holiday. I don't really like any of the actors, except for Jack Black, but it's looking to be very simmilar to Maeve Binchy's Tara Road, a book which I totally fell in love with back in my waitressing days. There are a couple of good Christmas looking ones coming out too. I'll have to update my "list o' Movies to see".
So, last night, we went to this lovley little pub called Cecils. Used to by Wylders. Anyways, who should show up, but Shawn, aka hot guy with the nipple ring. Anyways, we talked for a minute, he played pool, then vanished. After a while, he came over and invited me to dance at the Zoo, which is attatched to Cecils. We danced for a few minutes, then he vanished for about 10 and left me with complete strangers. When he came back, I told him that I was going back to sit with my friends, because I was driving some of them home. He thanked me for coming over to dance, and said it had been "worthwile" (!). I'm really hoping that he was drunk at that point, or this next bit is going to make me look like an idiot. I wrote down my number, and a little note that read "Seriously... you should take the hint. Seriously.", folded it up, and went to give it to him. I told him we were leaving, and he took my hand and hugged me (he either attempted to kiss my cheek or smell my hair, I'm not sure which, but I know it was one of the two), and I tried to pass him the piece of paper the way a person passes a folded $50 bill to a maitre de to get a better table. The paper fell to the floor. He said "what's this?" I handed him the paper and looked him in the eyes and said "Take the fucking hint".
So, I give him one week (just incase he pulls one of those male "I'm terrified of the phone" deals), and then I wash my hands of him. I know it's horridly unromantic, but I think that's the best way to go about this. When you don't have time for something, setting a deadline to be done with it is usually a good plan.
Speaking of which: here are my projects for this weekend:
1) finish overdue Off Campus assignment (it'll only be overdue by a weekend, so the penalty shouldn't be too bad.)
2) Sociology Assignment
3) Study for Sociology Test
4) Multiculturalism assignment
5) Study for group work final
6) Interviewing assignments.
That should be it. And some Nanoing. I'm debating changing my story to something silly, just for fun. House work wise, I have to do laundry, clean my room and vacuume. I think I"m developing allergies to the dust in here, plus with little circulation, it's easy for the air to get stagnet: vacuuming seems to stir things up a bit. Plus I really do need to take the MeeperMobile in for some maintnence and break fluid. Cha-Ching...
Even though I should be doing work right now, I think I"m going to go to bed. I'm tired again. I'm going to try and get up with enough time to either write up another part of the overdue assignment, or clean my room and do laundry before game at Larkins tomorrow. After that, I'm chaining myself to the computer. I swear.
This is my pledge, gods of wisdom, courage and coffee as my witnesses, that I will be caught the hell up by the end of this weekend. So help me, I'll type until my fingers are bloody stumps!!
STUMPS!!!
