2 Birthday wishes, 1 call to action and a meme...in a pear tree?
Second, and this is the important bit: Ok, I know people are poor right now. People are always poor at Christmas. I'm poor-er than usual, so I can sympathize. But I do have a request of every, single person who reads this blog...
Tonight, there was a report that Toys-For-Tots in London ON is short toys for 350+ needy children in our area. Also, Global National Reported that the Toronto Fire Fighters who collect toys for Kids are also desperatly short. The Santa Fund in North Bay is reaching out to that community in any way possible, and I know that L.I.P.I is the ONLY place in North Bay which takes used toys, but they are in need too.
Please, take a moment the next time you're in the mall, and look for your nearest Dollar Store. Run in, and spend $10 on toys. That's it. In the London area, take those toys to your nearest i-vision store, or visit the website for other locations (just google Toys For Tots London ON). In Toronto, drop your toys at your local fire department. Honestly, you're giving a child a Christmas. Even Crappy Dollar Store Toys are better than nothing. If you are in North Bay, and would like information on LIPI, email me, and I'll give you the address.
If every person who reads this blog donates 1 toy, and then tells one or two people, who then donates... Imagine the Christmases we can give.
Also, go through your closets, your cupboards and your linen closets. Anything still good that you don't need or wear, or use... Food in cans that you have for a rainy day or a random dinner for the American Military... Donate them to places like the Salvation Army, Good Will, Rebuilt Resources, your local Food Bank... This is the one time of year that giving is supposed to be second nature, not something to work at. So give... Why not??
Lastly: the MeMe. Just answer the questions in the comments. You can comment on what I said above in the comments too... If you donate, tell me. Even if you Toss a Toonie in the SallyAnne bin... Let me know. It makes me feel fantastic to know that other people really care too.
TELL ME ABOUT YOU

Damn you, Ginny!
Here's how we play:
A. Pick 16 movies.
B. Then pick one of your favorite quotes from each movie.
C. Post the quotes in your journal.
D. Have your friends try to guess what the movie is.
(I don't know if the comments are working or not. Try it, and see what happens...)
I'm making them as difficult as possible, because it pleases me to do so.
1."What'cha gonna do? Hit me with that Ffffffish..."
2. "A person should not believe in an "-ism," he should believe in himself"
3. "The price you pay for bringing up either my Chinese or my American heritage as a negative is, I collect your fuckin head."
4."My God . . . I haven't been fucked like that since grade school."
5."He died? And this is supposed to be a Kid's Movie!"
6."Closer than his wife would like..."
7."My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." (so easy...)
8."But, Won't he rust?"
9. "...Is it dead?" (that one's for you, Sarah!)
10."I roared. And I rampaged. And I got bloody satisfaction."
11."You're about to hear me make some turkey hash!"
12."*sniff, sniff* Do I offend?"
13."Sure he's an asshole... Sure he's dead... Sure I'm just imagining that he's talking. None of that stops the bastard from being absolutely right."
14." I shall call him squishy, and he shall be mine, and he shall be my squishy! "
15."Motherfucker, please, Look...My shit is custom"
16."And, I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no good, rotten, floor-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed, sack of monkey sh** he is! Hallelujah! Holly Sh**! Where's the Tylenol?"
Play on.

Night of the Novel...
That's because there's been none.
For the last little while, the word count has been stuck at 7,881. Which, really, isn't that bad. Except that I should have surpassed 10K by now, in order to be keeping up. So, not SO bad... I just need 3K to be back on top of things.
But can I do it in a night?
Then work an 8 hour shift?
This is the question. This is my experiment. Can I work on the nano, maybe do some study notes, and get a go at my director's note book, and still be alive enough to open the store, work country style, filter the fryers AND open the resteraunt tomorrow?
Pffft. Watch me.
Anyways... So, what did I do today? Well, I got some much needed cleaning done on my Media Player. Killed some useless, old playlists, and threw in some new, catchy ones with new, catchy stuff, and deleted some songs and sound effects that I don't need anymore. My media player feels MUCH better. I also got a HORSELOAD of laundry done, which is nice, because soon I will have socks again! Yay!
Other than that, yeah, nothing much. I found my floor, but it's still a little cluttered, so I'll be taking some time to clear that up soon... Especially because the clutter is notes that I will seen be needing to organize for study purposes.
So, I'm off to work. I'm sure I'll be on tomorrow with some rant about my actual progress. Until then:
You're The Sound and the Fury!
by William Faulkner
Strong-willed but deeply confused, you are trying to come to grips
with a major crisis in your life. You can see many different perspectives on the issue,
but you're mostly overwhelmed with despair at what you've lost. People often have a hard
time understanding you, but they have some vague sense that you must be brilliant
anyway. Ultimately, you signify nothing.

Animal Quiz - Thanks Josh!
You're a Guinea Pig!
When people want to test out something they're not so sure of, they
come to you. People constantly seem to have some new idea or theory they're just
begging to use you to check out. All this attention is certainly appreciated, but
has left you feeling extremely used over the years. After all, does anyone ever
seem to ask you about these tests? You do end up feeling like you are a
representative of all of humanity, and perhaps even an intrepid explorer. But that
could just be those drugs they injected into you talking.

It all makes sense now...
| You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism. Which religion is the right one for you?
