Dead or Alive?

So, I'm back... Kinda. I'm still a little on the sick side, and very much on the tired side. But, if I let things go for more than a week, it's harder to get back into them later... So:

Things on the Go:
1)NaNoWriMo begins in less than a week. *spoink* I've decided that this year, I'm going to pull at least 1, maybe 2 all-nighters on it, just because everyone else seems to take it so Seriously! I mean, people really throw themselves into this... and people out there, somewhere, really DO write 50,000+ words in one month! I'd love to be part of that. Even just to accomplish something that big.

2)I got 1 of 4-5 potential articles for the Hibou written today. This was defiantly the hardest one though... it's the callender of events. You wouldn't believe how much goes on in a small town like this....

3)I'm keeping up with most of my readings. I think... I'm ok with PSL and Kid Lit so far... and Psych of Ed is going great, I think... It's just Romance. I mean, really, a book a week is a bit much, especially when the first one was in middle english, and the one I'm catching up on now (for my seminar) is in olde english-style... Kings in castles and such... it gets hard to understand. SO, I think I'm going to take Friday Night off... (after work) and just come home and read. I have to get Ortranto done either way, as my seminar is next week, and I should get my guide sheet tomorrow. And the end of the semester is quickly approaching... I don't want to have to read a dozen novels in a few days...

4) I have great ideas for my Kid Lit journals. Dozens of them. I just need to get them down. God, I wish I had that talky-typey techology, where you talk into the microphone and it types for you... that would make things much easier.

5) I abandoned the Romance Journals for the Romance Essay. Yeah, I know, technically the essay is more work, and it's 12 extra pages in the middle of NaNoWriMo, BUT I couldn't get the ideas down for these journals either, which proved a severe problem the night before they were due... Oh well. I'll get my list of options for the paper tomorrow, and get started on THAT as soon as my seminar's over.

So that's pretty much what's going on, in a nut shell. Sort of. I'll update more a bit later in the week... I still haven't told you the story of the Aberdeen debate, have I?

It's on the list.
