What a hell of a week.
Obviously, given the content of my last few posts, I'm getting to that burnt-out place that everyone hates, but I always get to way too quickly. What's worse, I've seem to adopted the habbit of bad footing... I've got one foot in my mouth, and the other all over other people's toes! Sorry if I've caused any undue havok, guys.
Anyways, I came home tonight after a whole lot of rehersing, and a rather rediculous day at work, not to mention getting my baby back from Canadian Tire, and I felt kinda... strung out. I kinda thought about just going right to bed. Instead, I decided to grab a song from LimeWire... an old one I loved years back from the Odds called "Eat My Brain" (go figure). Found that, and a whole WHACK of other acoustic tunes, covers and the like, including a few musical orgasms: Melissa Ethridge doing Janice Joplin's "Another piece of my Heart", as well as Melissa Ethridge doing a duet of "Bring me some Water" with Joan Osbourn, who digs RIGHT into it. *drools*.
I deserved tonight. I mean, a night of singing along with classics, and a rather stirring live-acoustic version of "Behind these Hazel Eyes" which rocked my sox off. That, and I had money left over for gummi bears, which Andrew helped me pay for when I was short a loonie. (only because I left my wallet in the theatre).
So...yeah. I feel better now. I mean, the next few weeks are still going to be a pain in the kiester, but what can you do, really? I mean, I just need to knuckle down. But, I need to take breaks like this more too. Just groovin.
Mmmm... Gummi Bears...
If you're going to screw it up, do it BIG... people will think you're doing it on Purpose.

Night of the Novel...
Right, so... National Novel Writer's Month. www.nanowrimo.org. You've heard me talk about it, you've seen the word counts... yet I've neglected to really talk about my progress in the last little while...
That's because there's been none.
For the last little while, the word count has been stuck at 7,881. Which, really, isn't that bad. Except that I should have surpassed 10K by now, in order to be keeping up. So, not SO bad... I just need 3K to be back on top of things.
But can I do it in a night?
Then work an 8 hour shift?
This is the question. This is my experiment. Can I work on the nano, maybe do some study notes, and get a go at my director's note book, and still be alive enough to open the store, work country style, filter the fryers AND open the resteraunt tomorrow?
Pffft. Watch me.
Anyways... So, what did I do today? Well, I got some much needed cleaning done on my Media Player. Killed some useless, old playlists, and threw in some new, catchy ones with new, catchy stuff, and deleted some songs and sound effects that I don't need anymore. My media player feels MUCH better. I also got a HORSELOAD of laundry done, which is nice, because soon I will have socks again! Yay!
Other than that, yeah, nothing much. I found my floor, but it's still a little cluttered, so I'll be taking some time to clear that up soon... Especially because the clutter is notes that I will seen be needing to organize for study purposes.
So, I'm off to work. I'm sure I'll be on tomorrow with some rant about my actual progress. Until then:

You're The Sound and the Fury!
by William Faulkner
Strong-willed but deeply confused, you are trying to come to grips
with a major crisis in your life. You can see many different perspectives on the issue,
but you're mostly overwhelmed with despair at what you've lost. People often have a hard
time understanding you, but they have some vague sense that you must be brilliant
anyway. Ultimately, you signify nothing.

Addictive Personality
For the past 2-3 days, I've done nothing but download acoustic versions of my favorite songs, and old videos from the '80's and '90's. I thought this would be the new addiction that would kill our internet...
I was wrong.
Tonight, Vanessa introduced me something MUCH cooler. Behold, String Tributes. Holy Carp. Yeah, anything you can think of, they've done in strings. I'm debating now what to walk down the asile to. I know my first dance will be "Amazing" By Aerosmith... the original version, of course (some classics you just can't mess with). But now, I think I'm going to walk down the aisle to either the strings version of "With or Without you" by U2, or "Stairway to Heaven". Just because I know my mom and dad used to make out to that song, and I think everyone would think it was hilarious! Of course, I haven't downloaded everything yet. I think this may introduce me into the world of studying to classical music! I know it's supposed to make studying easier...
Yum!
I'd started downloading some Celtic stuff, just for background noise, but I'd been using the acoustic stuff for that... God, System of a Down just goes to a whole new level when played on a string quartet. And Paint it Black sounds like something out of Phantom of the Opera!
Oh, and I bought myself a treat tonight. Honey Dust. That's right, I have another new "thing", and it's sweet! Literally! It smells a bit... well, it can be overpowering if you're already sugar-overloaded, but it's so purty! And it smells nice too! It does actually taste like Candy. Not that I'd eat it from the can or anything...
It cost me just over $35, and I got a mint condom too (thanks Renèe!), but it should last me for a LONG time. The tin is HUGE.
Oh my god, Under the bridge is AWSOME... Download it. NOW. I command you.
